Kazakhstan. Dutch businessmen ready to invest in Kostanay region


In the course of a visit to Kostanay region, Marcel Marie Anthony, an assistant of the Honorary Counsel of Kazakhstan in the Netherlands, had a meeting with local state officials, where   Deputy Head of the Regional State Administration Meyrzhan Myrzaliyev presented information on the region’s investment climate and formulated proposals for Dutch businessmen, reports UkrAgroConsult.

The assistant of the Honorary Counsel expressed interest in cooperating with Kostanay region. In particular, there are already plans to build a plant for crushing oilseeds (rapeseed, sunseed) in a future free economic area of Kostanay. China and Russia are considered as the main end markets for products of the prospective plant.

In February, a delegation of Dutch businessmen will visit Kostanay region again, this time with concrete plans, projects and investments.

Noteworthy is that the Netherlands is the top European investor in Kazakhstan’s economy. The country has invested more than USD 70 Bl in Kazakhstan over the years of cooperation. More than 800 joint ventures operate in Kazakhstan now.
