Kazakhstan enjoys favorable conditions for growing winter crops

From November 1-10, favorable meteorological conditions were reported in the south and south-east of Kazakhstan where winter wheat is cultivated. During this period, air temperatures hit highs of +23°C and winter wheat resumed growth in the daytime. However, temperature drops at the night time, locally even to 6 - 8°C below zero, stopped its growth in some fields in Almaty region. Short precipitation events contributed to soil moisture conservation, reports UkrAgroConsult.

In Almaty region, winter wheat plants during these ten days were at three-leaf stage and renewed growth. Crop condition is good everywhere.

Planting continued in South Kazakhstan region. Early-sown winter wheat was at stages of germination and emergence. Crop condition is good.

In Zhambyl region, winter wheat was at emergence and three-leaf stages of in early November. Crop condition is also good there. Planting of winter wheat continues.
