Kazakhstan. Grain harvesting progress


The grain harvest has started in nine regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including South Kazakhstan, Zhambyl, Almaty, Kyzylorda, West Kazakhstan, East Kazakhstan, North Kazakhstan, Pavlodar and Aktobe regions, reports UkrAgroConsult.

According to Kazakhstan’s Ag Ministry, farmers in the above regions harvested 2396 KMT from 1303.4 Th ha (22% of the planned 5933 Th ha) by August 21. The average yield is 1.84 MT/ha.

On the same date last year, the respective figures there equaled 2101 KMT, 1063 Th ha (17.9%) and 1.98 MT/ha.
