Kazakhstan. Grain stocks 15% down last year’s


According to the Statistics Committee of Kazakhstan, growers of all types held 5.57 MMT of cereals and pulses as of September 1, 2018, i.e. 15.2% less than on the same date a year ago (6.57 MMT), reports UkrAgroConsult.

Wheat inventories as of September 1, 2018 were 13.6% less year-on-year at 4.41 MMT, including 4 MMT of milling wheat, 294.3 KMT of feed wheat and 111.2 KMT of wheat for seed.

As of the reporting date, barley stocks totaled 835.6 KMT that is down 12.8% on the year, while those of corn were 17.5 KMT, rice – 16.6 KMT, rye – 14.8 KMT, oats – 87 KMT, buckwheat – 37.6 KMT, millet – 7.8 KMT.
