Kazakhstan. Grain stocks are up 31% from last year

According to the Statistics Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, farms of all types held 6.54 MMT of cereals and pulses as of June 1, 2017. This is 30.6% more than at the same time last year, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Wheat inventories are up 28.8% year-on-year at 5.6 MMT, including 4.68 MMT of milling wheat, 0.33 MMT of feed wheat and 0.6 MMT of wheat for seed.

As of the same date, barley stocks totaled 0.53 MMT, or 36.2% more than last year, while corn reserves amounted to 55 KMT, those of rice to 95 KMT, rye to 16 KMT, oats to 104 KMT, buckwheat  to 32 KMT, and millet to 15 KMT.

Monthly growth of grain inventories in the country stems from too slow exports against the background of increased exportable grain stocks this season.
