Kazakhstan. Grain yield forecasts are raised

In the July report, Europe’s Monitoring Agricultural Resources Unit (MARS) forecasts winter wheat yield in Kazakhstan at 1.82 MT/ha, or 11% more than forecast in June but 15% below the five-year average, reports Zerno On-Line.

The yield forecast for spring wheat was raised by 18% from June – to 1.23 MT/ha – that is also 5% above the five-year average.

The yield forecast for winter barley was increased by 6.2% from June – to 2.27 MT/ha – that is also 4.4% above the five-year average.

The yield forecast for spring barley was raised by 17% from June – to 1.54 MT/ha – down 9.3% from the five-year average.
