Kazakhstan increased grain exports by 19% in 2016


According to the Statistics Committee of Kazakhstan, grain exports from the country totaled 5454.8 KMT in 2016. This is up 18.6% from 4599.4 KMT exported in 2015, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Kazakh flour exports showed a still greater increase. Kazakhstan exported 2197.1 KMT of flour in 2016, or 26.1% more than in the previous year (1741.7 KMT of flour was shipped abroad in 2015).

In 2016, grain commodity exports from Kazakhstan were the highest since 2012, when the country exported 7876.1 KMT of grain and 2245.2 KMT of flour.
