Kazakhstan is planning to step up exports of grain, including flour, to 9.1 MMT in 2017 (season: July-June). This is 400 KMT more than last year, Kazakhstan Vice Minister of Agriculture reported.

Shippers are going to export 1.3 MMT of grain and flour in grain equivalent in December. 16,500 rail cars will be needed for this purpose, including 11,940 of grain carriers and 4,776 of covered rail cars, reports UkrAgroConsult.

As a reminder, Kazakhstan harvested 22.09 MMT of grain (bunker weight) this year with an average yield of 1.44 MT/ha.
