Kazakhstan. Oilseed crushing plant launched in Almaty region

LLC Alakol-Nan launched an oilseed crushing plant in Alakol district, Almaty region of Kazakhstan, reports UkrAgroConsult.

The project’s total cost is KZT 450 Ml. The designed crushing capacity equals 40 MT of oilseeds a day, Kazakh-Zerno news agency reports.

At the ceremony of opening the new plant, the region’s governor A. Batalov noted that 95% of all the Kazakh soybeans are grown in Almaty region. Four soybean crushing plants had already operated in the region. This is the fifth one.

Representatives of local farms point out that previously they had to look on their own for outlets for their soybeans and to sell them underpriced. The newly opened plant solves this problem automatically, the more so as it pays growers quite a good price of KZT 140,000/MT.
