Kazakhstan. Spring grain sowing will finish soon


According to Kazakhstan’s Ag Ministry, spring spiked cereals were sown on an area of 14.39 Mln ha as of June 10, 2017 (100.4% of the plan) that is 2% less than at the same time last year (14.68 Mln ha or 100.1% of the plan), reports UkrAgroConsult.

As of the reporting date, corn plantings already totaled 132.5 Th ha (93.7% of the plan).

The rice sowing target in the country has already been exceeded by 11.4%. Kazakh farmers planted 103 Th ha of rice by the reporting date, or 9.8% more than at the same time last year (93.8 Th ha).
