Kazakhstan started grain harvesting campaign

The grain harvest has started in seven regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including South Kazakhstan, Zhambyl, Almaty, Kyzylorda, West Kazakhstan, East Kazakhstan and Aktobe regions.

According to Kazakhstan’s Ag Ministry, farmers in the above regions harvested 1740.3 KMT from 862.1 Th ha (38.1% of the planned 2262.2 Th ha) by August 14. The average yield is 2.02 MT/ha.

On the same date last year, the respective figures there equaled 1704.6 KMT, 788.5 Th ha (38.4%) and 2.16 MT/ha.
