Kazakhstan stepping up flour exports to China


Flour exports from Kazakhstan somewhat expanded in June 2017. So, the country supplied 180.9 KMT of flour to foreign markets that month, or 10% more than a month earlier and up 5% from June 2016.

In the ten months of the 2016/17 season, Kazakh flour exports totaled 1942.6 KMT, or 3.6% more than in the same period a year ago (1874.9 KMT went for export in September-June 2015/16), reports UkrAgroConsult.

Afghanistan’s share in Kazakh flour exports expanded in the current season. This market absorbed 69% of all export deliveries in the reporting period against 54% in MY 2015/16.

Some rise is also seen in Kazakh flour deliveries to China’s market. Kazakhstan supplied more than 9.3 KMT of flour there in September-June 2016/17 against 7.9 KMT for the whole last season.
