Kazakhstan. This year’s oilseed planting forecast increased 12%


According to the Ag Ministry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, oil crops were planted on an area of 130.3 Th ha as of April 26, 2017. This is 24% of their forecast planted acreage (officially 543.2 Th ha). This year’s low temperatures slowed down planting of oil crops by 8.8% year-on-year (142.9 Th ha in 2016).

As expected, the total forecast area of this year’s oilseed plantings was increased 12% to 543.2 Th ha against 484.6 Th ha a year ago, reports UkrAgroConsult.
