Kazakhstan. Vietnam intends to import Kazakh grain

This year Vietnam plans to create the first flow of commodities to Europe through Kazakhstan and the countries of Central Asia, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Representatives of Vietnam Railways said that countries-members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) could create a transit network to Europe through China and Kazakhstan (Khorgos). Vietnam officially signed the free trade agreement with the East Asian Economic Union (EAEU), which facilitates products movement from the country to Eastern and Western Europe.

It is reported that Vietnam plans to import grain and other Kazakh commodities only by the continental railway without handling in Lianyungang port directly to the capital Hanoi. As a reminder, on February 20, the national company “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy” and Vietnam Railways signed a memorandum on cooperation in the field of railway transport.
