Kernel bought Ukrainian Agrarian Investments


Kernel Agri Holding has closed a deal for the purchase of a 7.9% stake in Ukrainian Agrarian Investments, which was announced on June 2, the company’s website reports.

Ukraine’s top fat-and-oil producer Kernel closed a deal to acquire a 100% stake in the holding company Ukrainian Agrarian Investments (UAI) for USD 155 Ml., informs UkrAgroConsult.

In early June, Kernel reported that UAI runs more than 190 Th ha of leased farm land along with granaries for roughly 200 KMT of grain. The holding comprises 62 farms and five silo facilities in 16 regions of Ukraine.

Prior to the acquisition of UAI, Kernel’s land bank approximated 390 Th ha. Kernel fat-and-oil products are represented in the Ukrainian market by the brands Schedry Dar, Stozhar, Chumak Zolota.
