Kernel Holding to build a plant in Khmelnytsky region

Kernel has started implementing a project for expanding production facilities. It is going to build the largest plant for processing oilseeds (sunseed, rapeseed, soybeans) in Khmelnytsky region, reports UkrAgroConsult.

On October 11, 2017, Khmelnytsky Regional State Administration Head Oleksandr Korniychuk and Kernel Director for production assets management Yuriy Pugach signed a memorandum on cooperation related to building a sunoil plant on the premises of Kernel’s operating elevator in Starokostyantyniv.

The plant’s design capacity will be 1 MMT of sunseed. The announced amount of investment equals USD 130 Ml, which Kernel recently raised from the placement of euro bonds. The launch of the facility is scheduled for the middle of 2020.

Previously, Kernel Holding was reported to have been investigating possibilities for the construction of a sunseed crushing plant in West Ukraine in 2018-2019.
