Korea resumes egg exports to Hong Kong

The Egg Board of Korea has shipped 96,000 eggs for the first time to Hong Kong this year. Exports had been suspended since last year due to an avian influenza outbreak in Korea. With an export license from the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department (FEHD) of Hong Kong, Korea’s Yeongcheon egg distribution centre in Gyeongbuk province, exported the first shipment of Korean eggs last month.

The eggs were produced at three farms in Gyeongsangbuk-do that had passed the strict farm inspection of Hong Kong authorities. The exported eggs include Nonghyup special eggs, oriental eggs, and yellow earth-eaten eggs\
