Largest port of Korea to study opportunities of investing in Ukrainian ports

USPA and the Administration of Busan Port (Republic of Korea) agreed to consider possibilities of South Korean port regarding investments in the development of Ukrainian port industry, including projects on terms of public-private partnership. Such agreements were fixed in the Memorandum of Understanding signed on November 17 by the head of USPA, Raivis Veckagans, and the president of Busan port administration, Wu Yeh Yong.

In addition, the parties intend to explore opportunities for the development of access roads and rear areas in Ukrainian seaports, as well as ways to increase imports, transit and transshipment of cargoes. UkrAgroConsult informs that implementation of research and elaboration of the master plan for development of Ukrainian seaports with the involvement of Korean Institute of Marine Research may become another area of cooperation.
