Lithuanian oil trader to tackle grain and oilseed processing in Ukraine


The Lithuanian oil trader Norteda has registered in Ukraine its daughter company UAB Agrarinė Norteda and declared readiness to invest more than USD 10 Ml in grain and oilseed processing, reports UkrAgroConsult.

“Ukraine is now one of the most attractive agricultural countries in East Europe. We are considering investment projects for grain storage and processing. In addition, we are ready to finance processing of oilseeds,” said UAB Agrarinė Norteda CEO Igor Shklyarus.

Agrarinė Norteda is prepared to cooperate both with private businesses and state-owned agricultural companies. In addition, its plans envisage the opening of a Ukrainian office in Kyiv.

Norteda is a Lithuanian trader of crude oil, chemicals and oil products having strategically located storage and mixing facilities, as well as a transport and logistics network. Its core business activities include trade and logistics. The newly founded Ukrainian Agrarinė Norteda is fully owned by the mother company.
