Losses of second corn crop in Brazilian state of Goiás reach 40%


In an interview to Globo Rural magazine, the president of cooperativa Comigo, Antonio Chavaglia, said that the lack of rains in the Brazilian state have generated losses of about 40 percent of the second corn crop. Farmers in the state have also struggled with export taxes that were eliminated at the end of the harvest.

The dry weather has let the state with over 20 days without any drop of rain.
