M’sia’s September palm oil stocks up 5.67%


Malaysia's total palm oil stocks rose 5.67% to 1.54 million tonnes in September against 1.46 million tonnes recorded in August, according to the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB).

Crude palm oil stocks increased 18.02% to 893,187 tonnes in September from 757,789 tonnes recorded at end-August.

The MPOB said stocks of processed palm oil dropped 7.54% to 653,986 tonnes in September versus 707,317 tonnes in August. Crude palm oil output in September increased 0.78% to 1.71 million tonnes from 1.70 million tonnes registered in August. Palm kernel output rose 6.16% to 428,103 tonnes in September compared with 403,245 tonnes in August.
