Margarine production in Ukraine rising for a fifth month in a row

In December 2016, Ukraine’s large and medium-sized producers made 20.2 KMT of margarine, or 5.7% more than last month (19.1 KMT) and 27% more than in December 2015 (15.7 KMT). Noteworthy is that margarine output has been rising for a fifth month in a row. Most likely, it is driven by the seasonal factor.
Overall, the 2016 margarine production is down 13.6% year-on-year at 184.3 KMT against 213.3 KMT in 2015. The largest annual volume of margarine (over 360.7 KMT) was produced in 2010.
