Milk, eggs and lard prices decreased in Ukraine


Food prices in Ukraine continue to decline, the government portal reports.

According to the data provided by the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, food prices decreased by 1.9% in July 2018 compared to the previous months. Vegetables, fruits and eggs dropped in prices the most (by 12.4- 7.6%). Milk, dairy products, lard and pork prices declined too.

At the same time, there is the seasonal 0.7-1.9% increase in prices for cereal products, including bread and pasta, and some cereals.

In general, consumer prices dropped by 0.7% in July 2018. Base inflation since the beginning of the year amounts to 3.4%, prices rose by 8.9% compared to July 2017.
