Moldova. Agro climatic conditions and crops development


Diverse air temperatures and precipitation were observed in the country from November 7 - 13. Over the week, air temperatures in Moldova averaged at +4.1..+7.7°C that is 0.6-2°C above normal. Their lowest registered point was -4.5°C.

Precipitation in the form of rain, snow and sleet was seen during last week, reports UkrAgroConsult. Its rates were mostly 30-70 mm (80-160% of monthly normal), amounting to 20-25 mm (55-65% of monthly normal) in some areas. Stable snow covered some northern areas of the country on November 12. Weather stations report its height to peak at 1-2 cm, being at most 0.5 cm in some fields.

Most of winter wheat was at emergency and 3rd leaf stages. Its tillering began in isolated southern areas.
