Moldova. Fair weather conditions for growth and development of winter crops

Warmer-than-usual weather with precipitation shortfalls was observed in the country between November 13-19. The average weekly air temperature in Moldova was 1-3°С above normal at +4..+7°С. The highest air temperature across the country reached +20°С. The lowest air temperature was registered at -6°С. Precipitation rates totaled 1-8 mm this past week (10-70% of normal).

The weather conditions over the week were mostly favorable for growth and development of winter crops. Winter wheat was mostly at the emergence and three-leaf stages, locally at tillering.
