Moldova imposed a ban on import of pigs from Ukraine

The Republic of Moldova imposed a ban on import of live animals susceptible to African swine fever virus (ASF), and also products for feeding pigs from the territory of Ukraine, reports UNN with reference to the press service of Gospodarevskaya.

 According to the report of the national Agency for food safety Moldova from 11.11.2016, № 01-6/2487, in connection with the unfavorable epizootic situation in the disease African swine fever, the competent authority of the Republic of Moldova introduced a ban on imports of pork and pork products from the territory of Ukraine.

In particular, banned the import of live animals susceptible to African swine fever virus (domestic and wild pigs), semen, oocytes and embryos obtained from animals susceptible to African swine fever virus (domestic and wild pigs), meat, meat products and other products containing meat from animals susceptible to African swine fever virus, as well as feed, feed and premix intended for feeding pigs.
