Moldova. Precipitation improved conditions of soil preparation and winter crops sowing

During September 19-25 colder than usual weather with heavy rainfall was seen in most parts of the country.

The average weekly air temperature was 1.5-2.5ºC lower the norm and reached 11.5 .. + 13.0ºC. The minimum air temperature lowered to + 3°C. Freezing to -1ºC was observed on September 22 at 2 cm soil depth.

At 90% of the territory of the republic precipitation amount during the week reached 10-25mm (100-325% of weekly norm), and some southern regions of the country received monthly norm of precipitation- 40-50 mm.

Precipitation observed during the week replenished soil moisture content and improved conditions for soil preparation and winter crops sowing. Sunflower and corn harvesting continued in the country.
