Moldova. Rains replenished soil moisture and improved winter crop sowing pace

During October 3-9 average air temperature was within norms for th given period with high amount of precipitations. In the Northern parts air temperature was 1-1.5ºС lower than the norm. First air frosts were observed on October, 6 to -0.3°С. On October 6,7 and 9 upper soil frosts had -1°С intensity.

At 60% of the territory, mainly in the Southern part, weekly amount of rains was 20-60 mm (70-200% мof the monthly norm), at the rest of the territory - 6-15 mm (80-225% of the weekly norm).

Rains replenished soil moisture stocks and improved soil preparation works and winter crops sowing pace, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Winter wheat of early sowing terms was at the stage of germination and emerging.
