Moldova. Satisfactory weather conditions for growth and development of winter crops

Primarily normal air temperatures and precipitation were seen in the country on October 23-29. The average weekly air temperature (+6.5..+8.5°С) was mostly close to normal. The highest air temperature in Moldova hit +19°С.

Air frost events of down to -1..-3°С occurred locally on October 25 and in most of the country on October 26. Frost events of down to -1..-5°С were registered on the ground surface and at a 2-cm height on October 25-26 and October 29. 

65% of Moldova received mainly 13-32 mm of precipitation over the week (50-123% of monthly normal). The weather was primarily satisfactory for growth and development of winter crops.

Over the week, Moldovan farmers continued to complete harvesting late crops and planting winter crops, reports UkrAgroConsult.
