Moldova. Spring crops mostly in good condition

Usual temperatures and precipitation shortages were observed in the country on July 10-16.

The average weekly air temperature was at +20..+22°С, i.e. close to normal. Air temperatures peaked at +33.5°С.

In total, 80% of the area received 1-13 mm of precipitation (5-65% of normal rates). The rest of the country, mainly the north, got 15-37 mm (90-185% of normal).

Winter crops in most fields were at full ripeness. Their large-scale harvest has begun. The conditions for this work were chiefly favorable.

Corn plants were mainly at tasseling, locally already at the cob flowering stage. Their condition was largely good. Sunflower plants continued flowering in most of Moldova
