Moldova. Weather conditions and crops development


Mainly usual air temperatures were reported in the country from November 21-27. Their weekly average equaled +1.1..+2.9ºC, being close to normal in most of Moldova, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Maximum air temperature hit +8ºС, while its minimum value was at -5ºC. 

Precipitation was chiefly in the northern half of the country, mostly as rain and sleet. Its total rate was primarily at most 1-5 mm (5-55% of weekly normal). As the average daily air temperature dropped to +3ºC and lower early in the week, growth of winter crops stopped in northern and central parts of Moldova (close to usual dates). At the same time, southern winter crops grew weakly in the daytime.
