Moldova. Weather conditions were primarily favorable for crop growth and development

The weather in the country featured primarily normal air temperatures, but precipitation rates were below normal. The average weekly air temperature was mostly at +16..+17°С, or close to normal, locally 1°С below normal in the south.

Over the week, 60% of the country received 1-10 mm of precipitation (5-65% of normal amount), while in the rest of the country, mostly in the north, it totaled 13-39 mm (85-215% of normal).

The weather conditions were primarily favorable for crop growth and development. Heading and flowering of winter crops were observed at the time, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Corn plants continued to form leaves; they mainly developed the 3rd-5th leaves during the week, even the 7th one in some areas. Corn of later planting terms started emergence. Sunflower was still at the stage of the second pair of true leaves.
