Nibulon's Kamianka-Dniprovs'ka facility reaches record receival of grain

02.02.2017

Nibulon’s Kamianka-Dniprovs'ka transshipment terminal is the first to receive one million tonnes of grain in the Zaporizhzhia region.

The facility has received almost 572,000 tons of wheat, 182,000 tons of barley, 114,000 tons of corn, 104,000 tons of rapeseed, 24,500 tons of sorghum, and more than 5,000 tons of sunflower and soybean since it was put into operation in April 2010. These are mainly products from agricultural producers of the Zaporizhzhia region, some districts of Kherson region, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, and Donetsk regions.

Volodymyr Horishnyi, branch director, said the facility achieved such a result due to a well-organized and efficient team, which became a family, and due to agricultural producers of the region who trust Nibulon. Currently, more than 300 farmers work with the Kamianka-Dniprovs'ka branch.

The Kamianka-Dniprovs'ka facility has shipped almost 900,000 tons of grain via water transport during its six years of operation. More than 246,000 tons of grain was shipped in 2016. Nibulon said that due to its water transportation in the Zaporizhzhia region, the number of trucks on the highways has been reduced in recent years by 37,500 units.

Nibulon plans to expand in the Zaporizhzhia region. In December 2016, the European Investment Bank allocated a loan of €71 million to finance the investment project. As part of the given project the company will construct up to 10 high-tech elevator complexes for 2 to 3 years, including the ones along the Dnipro River and the Southern Buh River. Two of them in Zaporizhzhia region and in Kherson region will be constructed in the first half of 2017.
