Oat harvesting started in Ukraine

Ukrainian farmers harvested early cereals and pulses from 7149 Th ha (74% of the plan) by July 31, 2017 against 8107 Th ha by August 1, 2016. Their crop amounted to 25843 KMT with an average yield of 3.61 MT/ha against 31018 KMT with an average yield of 3.83 MT/ha by August 1, 2016.

This included 4723 Th ha of wheat (74% of the planned 6358 Th ha) against 5213 Th ha last year. The crop reached 18262 KMT with an average yield of 3.87 MT/ha (4.13 MT/ha in 2016). Barley was harvested from 1995 Th ha (79% of the planned 2533 Th ha) against 2544 Th ha at the same time last year. Farmers got 6460 KMT with an average yield of 3.24 MT/ha (8484 KMT with a yield of 3.33 MT/ha in 2016).

The pea crop has already amounted to 972 KMT from 375 Th ha (92% of the forecast 409 Th ha) with an average yield of 2.59 MT/ha against 714 KMT from 226 Th ha with an average yield of 3.16 MT/ha by August 1, 2016.

Rye was harvested from 35 Th ha with a crop of 93 KMT and an average yield of 2.65 MT/ha. A year ago, the respective figures equaled 75 Th ha, 196 KMT and 2.61 MT/ha.

The oat harvest has also started in the country. By the reporting date, 52 KMT was harvested from 21 Th ha with an average yield of 2.51 MT/ha. As of August 1, 2016, oats were harvested from 45 Th ha with a crop of 112 KMT and an average yield of 2.51 MT/ha.
