October USDA: Oilseeds production estimates in Black Sea countries


According to October report of USDA, oilseeds production estimates in 2016/17 did not change considerably for Black Sea countries. Corrections were made for Russia and Turkey, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Thus, rapeseed production forecast was lowered again for RF to 950 KMT against 1000 KMT in September report. Russian soybean crop estimate was decreased by 200 KMT to 2700 KMT.

For Turkey sunflower production estimate was revised up by 200 KMT to 1200 KMT.

Considering the new estimates, total rapeseed production in the region was revised down to 2700 KMT against September figure - 2750 KMT, soybean production estimate was lowered to 6820 KMT against 7020 KMT. Estimate of sunflower production was revised up to 25700 KMT against 25500 KMT.
