Over 50 KMT of Kazakh wheat to be shipped to Shanghai


With assistance from Kazakhstan’s Consulate-general in the city of Shanghai, the Kazakh company Tina (Shanghai) International Trading Co., Ltd has signed a memorandum of intent with Wudeli Flour Mill Group Co., Ltd., a major Shanghai-based grain processing company, to supply Kazakh grain to the above Chinese megapolis, KazInform reports. 

Under the memorandum, over 50 KMT of new-crop wheat will be supplied to Shanghai in 2017-2018. It is planned to increase this amount in the future, reports UkrAgroConsult.

According to Kazakhstan’s Consulate-general in Shanghai, Tina conducts activities for promoting Kazakh grain and flour into China’s markets. As of today, agreements with Kazakh producers have been achieved, product rates have been agreed, and delivery cost and routes have been calculated. At the same time, another Kazakh company– Astau – is also making efforts to export Kazakh products to the Chinese market. The company has already obtained certification documents for more than 80 food commodities.
