Over one-third of sunseed harvested in Ukraine


Ukrainian farmers continue harvesting oilseeds. As of September 20, they harvested 3975.7 KMT of sunseed from 2155.3 Th ha (36% of the projected 5937.2 Th ha) with a yield of 1.84 MT/ha. The harvest progress lags 17% behind last year and the yield is down 13% from 2016, reports UkrAgroConsult.

As of September 20, soybeans were harvested from 453.7 Th ha (down 31% year-on-year) out of the projected 1991.6 Th ha. Their crop amounted to 790.9 KMT (down 43% from last year) with a yield of 1.74 MT/ha (down 17% from last year).
