Pea harvest in Ukraine drawing to an end

In Ukraine, early cereals and pulses were harvested from 8670 Th ha (90% of the plan) by August 7, 2017 against 9234 Th ha by August 8, 2016.

Farmers gathered 32655 KMT with an average yield of 3.77 MT/ha against 36036 KMT with an average yield of 3.90 MT/ha as of August 8, 2016, reports UkrAgroConsult.

These included 23345 KMT of wheat harvested from 5776 Th ha (91% of the planned 6379 Th ha) with an average yield of 4.04 MT/ha against 5941 Th ha and 4.23 MT/ha last year. Barley was harvested from 2331 Th ha (93% of the planned 2515 Th ha) against 2799 Th ha at the same time in 2016. Its crop amounted to 7801 KMT with an average yield of 3.35 MT/ha (9455 KMT with a yield of 3.38 MT/ha last year).

The pea harvest in Ukraine is drawing to an end. As of August 7, farmers got 1065 KMT of peas from 402 Th ha (98% of the planned 410 Th ha) with an average yield of 2.65 MT/ha. As of August 8, 2016, these figures equaled 743 KMT, 234 Th ha and 3.18 MT/ha, respectively.
