Philippines contemplates lifting ban on Brazilian meat

This could happen soon said the Department of Agriculture (DA) after a team recently inspected the plants of Brazilian meat exporters and declared its initial results as “negative”. Brazilian meat shipments bound for the Philippines were found to be tainted with salmonella in July. Meat Importers and Traders Association president Jesus C. Cham said the lifting of the ban would not have any effect on the prices of meat products this holiday season
