Philippines to import Korean processed meats


The Agriculture Ministry in Korea said it has received approval from the Philippines to sell Korean processed meats in the Southeast Asian nation.

The ministry also said it has received the local quarantine protocols from the Philippine Food and Drug Administration about processed meats such as chicken soup and sausages. Korea hopes to increase sales of its chicken soup called samgyetang and other Korean packaged foods, targeting young Filipinos.
