PM Groysman: Government to hold consultations with coalition on agrarian policy minister candidates

The Cabinet of Ministers will hold consultations with the parliamentary coalition on possible candidates for the post of new agrarian policy and food minister.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman stated this at a government sitting, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

“We need to start consultations with the coalition regarding the nomination of candidates for the post of the new agrarian and industrial complex minister,” Groysman said.

He stressed that Government will continue its work on the agricultural sector development.

"Those programs we’ve started, in particular: 1% of GDP to support the agricultural sector, the program to support the agricultural engineering, other programs - we will implement them," the prime minister assured.

He also added that the country’s agro-industrial complex like all sectors of the national economy, except those suffered from the blockade, shows growth.
