Pulse flour production on the rise in Ukraine


Flour production in Ukraine continues falling. Some 172.5 KMT of flour was produced in the country in September, or 6.5% less than at the same time last year, reports UkrAgroConsult.

In total, Ukrainian flour output has decreased another 1.4% since the beginning of 2017, to 1410.2 KMT. The decline concerns production of flour both from wheat and other cereal crops. 1340.4 KMT of wheat and wheat-rye flour was made in the first nine months of the current year that is down 0.7% year-on-year. At the same time, production of flour from other cereals decreased 14.2% to 67.4 KMT.

Simultaneously, Ukrainian production of pulse flour is on the rise. 1.72 KMT of pulse flour was made over the reporting period, or 14.3% more than in January-September 2016. This year, pulse flour was only produced in Chernihiv region.
