Rapeseed oil production in Russia down 18% in 2016/17

Russian crushers produced 26.7 KMT of rapeseed oil in March 2017 against 21.9 KMT in February 2017 and 24.4 KMT in March 2016. In total, 237 KMT of rape oil was made in 2016/17 (July-March), or 18.2% less than at the same time last season (289.7 KMT). Although this season’s rapeseed exports still run ahead of last year, oilseed crushing is on the rise since two months ago, catching up with the 2016 pace gradually.

UkrAgroConsult expects overall output of rape oil will be at least 300 KMT in the current season.
