Restrictions on the import of milk from Belarus to Russia may be postponed


This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich, reports The DairyNews with reference to Earlier, the ban was scheduled to be on February 26, later, after the negotiations between the Rosselkhoznadzor and Ministry of agriculture and food of Belarus, it was postponed to March 6.

Officially, the reason for the ban is the detection of numerous repeated violations of veterinary and sanitary norms.

"May be," - said Mr. Dvorkovich to the question whether the date for entry of the restrictions of the Rosselkhoznadzor into force can be postponed again.

The Deputy Prime Minister added that the talks between the agencies of the two countries are going on. "The negotiations continue", he said.

Earlier, Head of the Ministry of agriculture Tkachev stressed that Russia is ready to lift the ban in case of elimination of problems with product quality by the Belarusian side.
