Rising inventory to boost Korea’s pork production

Korea’s pork production is projected to continue its rise in 2018, as total swine inventory, which reached its highest level since 2010 in September last year, is expected to continue climbing this year.

In its latest report on South Korea’s livestock, the US Department of Agriculture noted that the growth in domestic pork production will enhance price competitiveness of Korean pork compared to Hanwoo beef and other proteins this year and make domestic pork more attractive to consumers.
