Romania. Above-normal air temperatures persist all over the country

It was too warm all over the country: air temperatures were 2-4°С above long-term normals. Daytime air temperature peaked at +11°С in the south-west on February 16. It varied within a range of -3..+6°С over the week.

High rates of precipitation (35-50 mm) were registered in the southeast and east of the country, and snow cover was established there. The rest of the country received a normal 5-15 mm of precipitation over the week, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Slow plant growth was observed in winter crops in the south due to increased air temperatures. The plants remained dormant in the rest of Romania. Winter wheat and winter barley are at the third-leaf and tillering stages. Those planted after October 20 have formed the third leaf. Rape plants have developed 7-14-leaf rosettes. Winter crops are mostly in good condition.
