Romania exporting corn to Turkish market at record pace

According to official data, in September-October 2018/19 Romania exported 521.8 KMT of corn to the 3rd countries, which is sharply higher than over the same period last season (+182%). The volume exported is also 24% higher compared to the 5-year average for the country thanks to the second highest corn crop, reports UkrAgroConsult.

This season considerably higher exports are seen in the destinations of Turkey, Sri Lanka, Libya and Lebanon. It should be noted that September-October corn shipments to Turkey are record high compared to the previous 5 seasons due to lower competition from Russia.
