Romania. Farmers are at final stage of corn harvesting

Too low temperatures were registered in the northern and central regions of the country (2-1°С below normal). Daytime air temperature was within +9..+18°С throughout the week. Night frost events (-2..-4°С) occurred on September 29 and 30 that was unfavorable for development of winter crops and corn, whose harvest is not yet complete.

Precipitation was seen locally in the north (25-35 mm) and south (2-5 mm). In the north of the country, its rates exceeded monthly normal again. Soil moisture oversupply is reported in the north, north-west and locally in the west. Soil drought still persists on vast expanses in the east as well as in the south-east of Romania, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Romanian farmers are finishing the harvest of corn and keep planting winter rape, barley and wheat.
