Romania increased barley exports by 16% y/y


Оver July-February 2017/18 Romania shipped about 900 KMT of barley via ports, which is still 16% higher than over the same period last season. February exports were 1 KMT compared to 7.27 KMT over the same month last year, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Saudi Arabia continues to be the main destination for Romanian barley – 393.22 KMT, which is almost in line with imports over the reporting period last season.

Iran imported  about 180 KMT (no purchases last season). Spain tripled purchases due to lower crop of Spanish barley. Jordan imported 2 times lower than over the same period last season.
