27.09.2018

Elevated air temperatures (4-6°С above long-term normal) persisted all over the country this past week. The average air temperature varied within +13..+24°С

Small rain fell in central and northern parts of the country (5-15 mm over the week). Soil moisture supply continues exhausting due to elevated air temperatures. Soil drought is observed in most of the country's farming regions. Soil moisture is only adequate and fair in some northern and central areas of Romania. This is unfavorable for growing winter crops, reports UkrAgroConsult.

The corn harvest is drawing to an end. Farmers continue planting winter wheat and barley.
